  1. This Read Me file contains important additions to MacVision. Please print 
  2. this file and keep it with you manual for future use.

  4. MACVISION 1.4 FOLDER
  5.  
  6. This revision of MacVision has been provided for users that do not have a 
  7. minimum of 1MB of Ram. MacVision 1.4 is a desk accessory and must be 
  8. installed with the DA/Font Mover. Please refer to your Macintosh manual 
  9. for instructions to install a desk accessory.
  10.  
  11. MacVision 1.4 is not compatible with Mac II. Please use MacVision 2.0 for Mac 
  12. II applications.
  13.  
  14. The scan window option will continue scanning until:
  15.  
  16.     click mouse once at the end of the scanning window.
  17.  
  18. For a complete MacVision 1.4 manual, please call (408) 438-0946.

  20. MacVision 1.4 is a bitmap program and will not digitize gray levels.

  23. MACVISION 2.0 FOLDER

  25. To RESET GRAYMAP:
  26.  
  27.     1) Select RESET GRAYMAP under the view menu;
  28.  
  29.     2) While in an image window, Press Command and Dot (.);
  30.  
  31.     3) While in the graymap window, Hold Option and double-click
  32.          mouse.

  35. GRAYSCALE/BIT MAP FUNCTIONS
  36.  
  37. To alternate between a selected Bit map image and its' grayscale counterpart:
  38.  
  39.     Hold Command and Shift-Key and click mouse
  40.  
  41. To Redither an image using a current grayscale function value with or 
  42. without the gray map showing:
  43.  
  44.     1) Hold Command and click mouse;
  45.                    or
  46.     2) Press Command-R.

  49. DIGITAL DARKROOM TOOLS
  50.  
  51. This folder has been provided for Digital Darkroom users who wish to scan 
  52. images directly from the Digital Darkroom program.
  53.  
  54. To install the tools into the Digital Darkroom program, take the tools folder 
  55. from the MacVision window and place it in the Digital Darkroom window. 
  56. These tools will then be present under ACQUIRE. To scan the image choose 
  57. ACQUIRE and then the image size to be scanned.

  59. MacVision hardware must be plugged into the modem port.
